A short electric dipole has dipole moment 16×10⁻⁹ C·m. Find the electric potential at a point 0.6 m from centre, on a line making 60° with the dipole axis.

Formula:
V = kp cosθ / r²
Calculation:
V = (9 × 10⁹ × 16 × 10⁻⁹ × cos 60°) / (0.6)²
V = (9 × 10⁹ × 16 × 10⁻⁹ × 0.5) / 0.36
V = (9 × 16 × 0.5) / 0.36
V = 72 / 0.36
V = <b>200 V</b>
