🔍 Poem Overview

A narrative poem (tells a story) adapted from a folk tale. Girl Gopi receives a magic paintbrush and uses it to help the poor. When a greedy Zamindar tries to misuse it, she cleverly escapes.

📝 Story in the Poem
Beginning: Old man gives Gopi a magic brush: "Paint only for the poor."
Middle: She paints khichdi — it becomes real! She paints mufflers, ploughs, shawls for villagers.
Conflict: Greedy Zamindar demands fortress and gold. Gopi refuses. He imprisons her.
Resolution: At night she paints a horse + road, escapes. Paints a mighty river — Zamindar can't cross. He flees. Gopi paints a village feast!
