📋 Collecting & Organising Data
When we collect information (like "how many hours do you watch TV?") from many people, we call this raw information data. Organising it into a table makes it much easier to understand!
🌟 Raw, scattered data (like 35 separate answers) becomes USEFUL only when it is organised — counted and grouped into categories in a table.

🔑 Pictograph
A pictograph uses pictures/icons to represent data. Each icon can stand for MORE than 1 item — this is called the scale or key.🚂 = 5 toys → 7 icons = 7×5 = 35 toys
🌟 A scale lets us show LARGE numbers using FEWER pictures — much easier to draw and read than one icon per item!
💡 To read a pictograph: COUNT the icons for a category, then MULTIPLY by the scale value.

🔑 Bar Graph
A bar graph uses rectangular bars instead of pictures. The HEIGHT (or length) of each bar shows the value — taller bar = bigger number!| Pictograph | Bar Graph |

💡 Both pictographs and bar graphs show the SAME kind of information — just in different visual styles!
🔍 Reading & Interpreting Graphs
- Highest/Lowest: Look for the tallest/shortest bar or most/fewest icons
- Total: Add up all the category values
- Difference: Subtract one category's value from another
- Comparison: Check True/False statements against what the picture/graph actually shows
