OR (b) The potential difference across a cell in open circuit is 6V. It becomes 4V when a current of 2A is drawn from it. Find the internal resistance of the cell.

Part (b) OR: Step 1: Open circuit: $\varepsilon = 6$V. With current: $V=\varepsilon-Ir \Rightarrow 4 = 6-2r \Rightarrow 2r=2 \Rightarrow r=1.0\ \Omega$. Answer: (A) $1.0\ \Omega$.
