(A) In the given figure, $\triangle ABC$ is a right triangle in which $\angle B = 90°$, $AB = 4$ cm and $BC = 3$ cm. Find the radius of the circle inscribed in the triangle ABC.
✅ Answer & Solution
In right triangle ABC, right-angled at B: $AC^2 = AB^2+BC^2 = 4^2+3^2=16+9=25 \Rightarrow AC=5$ cm (hypotenuse). For a right triangle, the radius of the inscribed circle is given by: $r = \frac{AB+BC-AC}{2}$. $r = \frac{4+3-5}{2} = \frac{2}{2} = 1$ cm.
