एक क्लासिक लोककथा जो हमें सिखाती है कि सच्ची सफलता धैर्य, कड़ी मेहनत और ईमानदार प्रयास से मिलती है — किसी शॉर्टकट या जादू से नहीं।
कहानी का सार
- रामा नाथ, एक धनी ज़मींदार का बेटा, अपनी विशाल ज़मीनों की उपेक्षा करता है क्योंकि उसे यक़ीन है कि एक जादुई औषधि किसी भी वस्तु को सोने में बदल सकती है।
- उसकी पत्नी मधुमती परेशान और चिंतित रहती है, यह देखकर कि रामा नाथ इस "जादुई" रहस्य की खोज में उनका सारा पैसा गँवाता जा रहा है।
- एक दिन महीपति नाम के एक बुद्धिमान संत उनके गाँव आते हैं। रामा नाथ उनसे सोना बनाने वाली औषधि का रहस्य बताने की विनती करता है।
- चतुर संत उसे बताते हैं कि अगर वह केले के पौधों से पाँच लीटर ओस — अपने ही हाथों से धैर्यपूर्वक इकट्ठा करे — तो वह सोने में बदल सकती है।
- यह मानकर रामा नाथ कतार-दर-कतार केले के पौधे लगाता है और हर सर्दी में सावधानी से ओस इकट्ठा करता है, जबकि उसकी पत्नी बाज़ार में केले बेचने में मदद करती है।
- छह सालों में उसका केले का बाग़ बहुत बड़ा हो जाता है, और जब तक वह अपने पाँच लीटर ओस इकट्ठा करता है, तब तक वह पहले ही धनवान बन चुका होता है — अपनी ही मेहनत से, जादू से नहीं!
