M.B. Khalsa College, named after Mandi Bahauddin, was established in 1990 by the Sikh community of Indore to provide education in computer science and electronics. It is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and recognised by the UGC. The college is located at Rajmohalla Square near Gangwal Bus Stand on Jawahar Marg in central Indore. It was the first college in Madhya Pradesh to introduce computer education in the 1990s, and it continues to offer Computer Application as a subject at the B.Com level, Computer Science (Honours) within B.Sc and a dedicated Electronics stream. Over the years it has broadened into commerce, management and education, with programmes including B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, M.Com, M.Sc Chemistry and M.Ed. Admission is merit-based on Class 12 results for undergraduate programmes and graduation marks for postgraduate courses, with the admission cycle usually running from May to June. The college draws support from management professionals in the corporate world and forms part of the M.B. Khalsa Institution of Education, which also runs a law college.
